- October 26th: Yoga Nidra for Pain/ Anxiety As with depression, yoga can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and chronic pain. For many people these two conditions are closely intertwined. Chronic pain leads to anxiety which leads to tension which leads to increased pain. In some cases, yoga can help resolve internal conflicts that are the primary cause of anxiety. And while yoga may or may not help relieve pain permanently, in many cases of chronic pain simple relaxation methods and breathing exercises can be used to greatly reduce pain—creating a more receptive somatic experience where anxiety has less of a foothold. You’ll sleep better, resolve conflicts with greater confidence, and ultimately feel more at ease and less pain!
