Dr. Marleen Haverty, ND, LAc

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Marleen Haverty, ND, LAc, to the team at Hawthorn Healing Arts Center. With more than 25 years of experience as a Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist, Dr. Haverty brings valuable knowledge and skill to our practice, further supporting our mission to provide holistic and integrative healthcare for the community.

Dr. Haverty earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master’s in Acupuncture from Bastyr University. She has also served as clinical faculty and resident at Bastyr’s Center for Natural Health. With a strong academic foundation that includes a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly State University, Dr. Marleen is well-equipped to provide comprehensive care.

Her patient-centered approach focuses on individualized treatment plans that integrate natural therapies, acupuncture, botanical medicine, and lifestyle counseling. Dr. Haverty works with a wide range of health concerns, including allergies, autoimmune conditions, cardiovascular health, chronic fatigue, digestive and skin issues, hormone balance, sleep and mood disorders, and women’s health.

Dr. Haverty’s passion for education extends beyond her clinical practice. She lectures in Herbal Sciences, Naturopathic Medicine, and Botanical Medicine at Bastyr University and has taught courses on traditional herbal medicines for tribal communities. Her involvement in her Lakota Sioux heritage and advocacy work reflects her commitment to culturally informed care.
